The Atlanta Braves have claimed 33-year old righty swinging catcher Tuffy Gosewisch off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gosewisch played in 33 games for the Diamondbacks last year and he was 14 of 90 (.156 avg, .513 OPS) with 8 runs scored, 3 homers and 7 RBI. Gosewisch has now played in 126 games in his first four years in the show and he is 78 of 392 (.199 avg, .522 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 5 homers, 30 RBI and 2 stolen bases. This was a good signing for the Braves, as Gosewisch will give them experienced depth in AAA-ball in 2017.
